Hand hygiene is one of the simplest and most effective means available for preventing the spread of germs that can cause illness. According to the Centers for Disease Control, improved adherence to hand hygiene (i.e. hand washing or use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers) has been shown to eliminate outbreaks in health care facilities, to reduce transmission of antimicrobial resistant organisms and reduce overall infection rates.
Health-care providers can also save precious time by cleaning hands with alcohol-based hand sanitizers in between hand washings with soap and water if hands are not visibly soiled. As a health-care provider, you know that the best way to protect yourself and your patients is by practicing good hand hygiene and making Germ-X® a part of your daily practice.
