Rotate the pump head counter clockwise until the pump head aligns with the notch in the cap. Press the pump several times to prime it. After 3 to 4 pumps foam will dispense after each depression.

I can’t get the pump on my Germ-X Ultimate™ foaming hand soap to function or the pump is dispensing much less foam. What do I do?

The air chamber in the pump head has most likely filled with liquid. In order to keep the pump in optimal working order, remove the pump head and pump until the chamber is empty. We recommend doing this over a sink. Rinse the pump; and tighten the pump head back on the bottle.

My bottle of Germ-X Ultimate™ foaming hand soap does not appear full. Did the bottle leak and should I return it to the store?

It is unlikely that the bottle leaked. The special foaming pump in the bottle requires a flow of air inside the bottle. This flow of air is required to aerate the liquid and turn it into foam. Germ-X Ultimate™ is filled to at least a 7.5 fluid oz weight as listed on the front of the bottle. The fill level of the bottle allows for headspace or air that is required to generate the foam for dispensing. The bottle is purposely filled to a level which allows for insertion of the pump and air flow for proper aeration to foam.

Can I refill the Germ-X Ultimate™ pump with other traditional (thicker) liquid soaps?

We do not recommend refilling the Germ-X Ultimate™ pump with other thicker liquid soaps. Standard liquid hand soaps are too thick for use in the Germ-X Ultimate™ foaming hand soap pump. Use of these types of soaps will clog it and damage the pump.

Can I refill the Germ-X Ulitmate™ foaming hand soap bottle with traditional (thicker) liquid soaps if I dilute them to make them thinner?

Using any soap other than Germ-X Ultimate™ foaming hand soap can result in failure of the pump. As a result of the special formulations and the need to retain the appropriate consistency for optimal pump operation Germ-X® does not recommend that you dilute any liquid soap.
